Tentative Itinerary

November 9, Sunday
-Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal - (information on how and when you'll be picked up at airport will be posted once everyone's itineraries are received)
-Overnight at Hotel Magnificent View, in the Thamel area, right across from the palace (minus a king!). Twin and triple rooms. All rooms have attached bathrooms. There is a restaurant on the roof, and it's close to other restaurants and shops and tourist sites.

November 10, Monday
-Orientation by Habitat for Humanity Nepal national office staff
-Sightseeing in Kathmandu & around the Thamel Market
-Rest

November 11, Tuesday
-Morning flight to Bhadrapur Airport
-Road transportation by bus to host accommodations, Hotel New Dish, which will be "home" for our team (see posting called "Where the Team Will Be Working and Living"). The ride will be approximately 3 hours, winding and steep and slow, but the scenery through the tea plantations and hilly areas is very picturesque.
-Orientation to community

November 12, Wednesday
-Site Orientation
-Safety Briefing
-Work!

November 13-14, Thursday-Friday
-Work
-Local cultural activities, cooking with home partners, and school visit

November 15, Saturday
-Work in morning
-After lunch, depart for Shree Antu
-View of sunset on Himalayan mountains, including Everest!
-Overnight at Shree Antu hotel

November 16, Sunday
-Early (4am!!) walk to Antu Dada (Yes, Suzanne, FOUR am!!)
-View sunrise on Everest!
-After breakfast, travel to Kanayam Tea Estate
-Return to Hotel New Dish
-Free time in afternoon

November 17, Monday
-Work

November 18, Tuesday
-House dedication
-Farewell ceremony
-Transport to Bhadrapur
-Overnight at Hotel Heaven
(this day may change to a half day work, farewell in afternoon, and NOT transporting to Bhadrapur until the next day)

November 19, Wednesday
-Transport to airport
-Fly back to Kathmandu
-Farewell dinner in Kathmandu with National Office
-Overnight at Hotel Vajra
(this day may change that we leave Ilam in the morning and transport directly to Bhadrapur airport)

November 20-21, Thursday-Friday
-D&E+F (formerly known as R&R) Activities - see new separate posting called "D&E+F" for more detail
-Return to KTM evening of Nov 21 to Hotel Vajra
-Special dinner hosted by our trekking guide/host at the old Rama Palace in Kathmandu

November 22, Saturday
-Depart KTM

Note: Unless you choose to stay in Nepal for personal travel, your return flights will most likely depart early afternoon, if going through Bangkok or Singapore. Your team leaders can make some suggestions of extended travel in Nepal or Thailand, as well as Cambodia,Vietnam, Malaysia via Bangkok or Singapore.
