HFHI-Nepal Partnerships

HFHI-Nepal values partnerships and believes that it supplements and enhances their work in many ways. These are the current partnerships:

  • Samjhuata Nepal - is a signatory to the project agreement of HFHI-Nepal with the Government of Nepal, and works in Jhapa and Ilam and has assisted over 400 families. This partnership has projected another 800 families for the coming year. Samjhuata has a network in 22 districts and has so far with worked with Sahara Nepal and Village banks in Pruthinagar and Bhadrapur.
  • World Vision Internatioanl Nepal - has begun its first partnership program with HFHI-Nepal in the district of Morang. They follow typical "Save and Build" methods to assist the Lakanthari community with a targeted 850 families for 2007. This partnership has met 1/3 of the housing cost to match the savings of the groups and the HFHI contribution.
  • Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) - has piloted a housing program to the literacy savings groups in the district of Kavre. This partnership assisted 200 families in 2006.
  • Canadian Architects Legacy Fund - updated information available later
